Admit it, we’re all guilty of it. We’ve either made it or viewed it, and probably still do over the years. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine, and I can’t be the only one. That’s right. I’m talking about… fanfiction!
When a movie, TV show, or a book series concludes but you’re still begging for more, when the game theories keep buzzing around in your head. The thought of cross-overs becomes too much to contain and you just want to share it with the world, fanfiction is the go-to platform for many of us to express our love and creativity for an established series. Of course when a group of fans gets together to discuss their shared interest, get ready for an endless pirate naval battle with all the head-cannons firing away.
Today, folks, we’re diving back into the furry community’s most meme-able, iconic movie to this day; where the bunny can become a hero cop, where the fox doesn’t have to follow society’s standards, and the reason the whole #LegalizeAwoo trend blew up. If you haven’t guessed it, maybe read up on the popular furry favorites within the past decade. For everyone else, that’s right: Zootopia! Luckily for me, I found a talented writer working on their fanfiction for the last three years!

This story follows the timeline just after the conclusion of the movie. With Zootopia safe once again, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are able to move on in their lives with newfound police work keeping them occupied. The big villain was taken down and everything was surely settling back to normal…
Ha! You thought! Of course, there’s going to be trouble brewing in the dark. However, last adventure looked minuscule compared to how big this new case looks. Something bigger is going on, and it’s up to Judy and Nick to get to the bottom of this nefarious plan. But who could they possibly turn to for aid? It looks like everyone in the ZPD is under suspicion. And with victims losing not only memories to a drug-induced hibernation state, time’s of the essence.
But if that’s the only problem going on, then you’re wrong! Due to how well Judy and Nick get along, rumors will fly and questions will rise. Just how close have these two gotten? I mean, it’s normal to share apartment rent with your best friend, right? Plus, carpooling has its benefits! What sort of web will this not-dating relationship weave?
The first few chapters are a bit rough with grammar, but if you can look past that and see the story for what it is, I promise you it’ll be an invitation for an intriguing fanfiction; one that’ll get you hooked. Each chapter is in easy bite-size pages making reading manageable from the get-go. Give it a look if you’re interested!
