Youtuber Interview: Biogodz

currently has almost 30,000 subscribers on Youtube, and has made over 100 videos. His fursuit is made by Kilcodo Costumes, in which he loves the quality and style of the suits! Watching his videos, it is obvious how focused he is on the cinematography, getting a variety of different camera angles. The music he pics in his videos somehow always ends up being perfect for the mood. He keeps an originality with all of his videos, making videos about cameras, using old cameras, unique camera angles (I think he likes cameras), and of course…a cringe video. He has such a variety of videos you’re likely to find a few you’ll enjoy!

The moment I started talking with Bio, I was greeted with warmth and excitement. Ended up having a bit  of technical difficulties and after we figured them out Bio had gotten started talking to me about how earlier he was working on one of his favorite pastimes, creating music.  Specifically EDM and House music, coming from years of playing laser tag as a child. He discovered the furry fandom many years ago at an anime convention, seeing someone wearing a K9 Raver fursuit. He eventually started googling more about the fandom and eventually joining a furmeet out in California. Eventually trying on a friend’s fursuit, and immediately getting hooked.

You’ll find Bio going to a couple of furry conventions every year, BLFC usually being one of them. It has continued to hold up to its name, being Fluffy Wolf’s favorite convention. We talked about how many memories were made there, and how nice it is set up to get to hang out with friends. On top of that, the effort that BLFC puts into the convention is amazing. You can find Bio this year at BLFC in Reno, Nevada, hanging this year with friends and meeting new people in suit, and out!

At this point, we started to shift talking about conventions and more about local meets. We discussed some of our first meets in the fandom, and how it was a little awkward until you got to know other furs. Bio mentioned how it was a little difficult in the beginning to find people to go to meets with, but as he got to know more furs everything was a lot easier! I asked the Floof, what he recommends to newer furs, starting out in the community. Joining social media he said, tends to be one of the best ways to start learning more about the fandom [By simply looks up #Furry].

Everyone always has something that is special to them about the Furry Fandom, so I had to ask what BioHazard’s favorite part of the fandom was. It was hard to get him to pick a favorite, exclaiming “[The Furry Fandom has] lots of people who are awesome.” Whether it be open LGBT, or getting to hang with friends and meet new people.

The furry Youtuber seemed to always be creating up plans in his head for new and different ideas to produce! We talked about one of their current projects, a camera series he called, “Fursuiters on Film.” Talking to me about recording videos on 8mm film, to create a retro feel with the videos and creating a sort of lo-fi feel to it. I personally am really excited to see this done and am really excited because of how different it is! As Bio started to talk about collaborating with other creators, he seemed to light up, getting extra excited. Telling me about how amazing it is to work with other talented artist, and how so many different ideas can surface.

It was so much fun, and a great learning experience to interview BioHazard1. He is kind, passionate, and has so much care for our community.
